Deutsche Börse to act as licensor of TAIFEX market data to international clients
May 31, 2016-- Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) and Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services signed a market data partnership agreement, under which Deutsche Börse will act as the licensor of TAIFEX market data and information products to all international clients.
Therefore, clients will be able to benefit from the state-of-the-art licensing services offered by Deutsche Börse, which already functions as a licensing partner for a whole range of trading venues around the globe such as BSE India, Irish Stock Exchange and Bulgarian Stock Exchange.

Lyxor launches ETFs tracking inflation expectations
May 31, 2016--Lyxor has launched the Lyxor USD 10Y Inflation Breakeven Ucits and the Lyxor EUR 2-10Y Inflation Breakeven Ucits ETFs.
These ETFs seek to provide exposure only to changing inflation expectations through the spread between traditional bond yields and those of inflation linked bonds, without the risk of changes in interest rates.

Monetary developments in the euro area: April 2016
May 31, 2016--The annual growth rate of the broad monetary aggregate M3 decreased to 4.6% in April 2016, from 5.0% in March.
The annual growth rate of the narrower aggregate M1, which includes currency in circulation and overnight deposits, decreased to 9.7% in April, from 10.1% in March.
The annual growth rate of loans to households stood at 1.5% in April, compared with 1.6% in March.
The annual growth rate of loans to non-financial corporations stood at 1.2% in April, compared with 1.1% in March.

ESMA CONSULTS ON PROPOSED IMPLEMENTING MEASURES FOR BENCHMARKS REGULATION
May 27, 2016--The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has today published a Consultation Paper (CP) on draft implementing measures regarding the Benchmarks Regulation (BR).
ESMA is seeking stakeholder's input on draft Technical Advice (TA) it is supposed to develop in order to detail the implementation of the incoming BR which was introduced following the rigging of different market benchmarks such as Libor. The CP is seeking stakeholder's feedback on the proposes regulatory framework for benchmarks, including in the following key areas:
Definition of Benchmarks;
Measurement of the use of critical and significant benchmarks;
Criteria for the identification of critical benchmarks

ESMA issues technical standards on indirect clients
May 26, 2016--The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has today issued two final draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) on indirect clearing under the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR) and the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) respectively.
The draft RTS clarify provisions of indirect clearing arrangements for OTC and exchange-traded derivatives and help to ensure consistency and that an appropriate level of protection for indirect clients exists.
