Dubai market loses as UAE PMI hits 5-month low
March 3, 2015--The DFM general index lost for third day straight on Tuesday, March 3rd. The gauge fell by 0.83 per cent to hit 3,757.50 points.
Earlier in the day, HSBC said the purchasing managers' index (PMI) for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) dropped to 58.1 points in February, down from 59.3 in January, the lowest level in five months.

DEPA shares dive at NASDAQ Dubai
March 2, 2015--The FTSE NASDAQ Dubai UAE 20 Index closed down by 0.45 per cent lower to hit 3,832.98 points on Monday, March 2.

Industries Qatar AGM gives nod for a 70 per cent cash dividend
March 2, 2015--The Qatar Exchange 20 Index added insignificantly to reach 12,450.34 per cent on Monday, March 2.
General Insurance posted the biggest leap upwards, closing four per cent higher at QAR66. The market's heavyweight Industries Qatar closed 2.90 per cent lower at QAR150.50.

Etisalat share price rally halted
March 2, 2015--In Abu Dhabi, the stock exchange market index ADXGI lost 0.44 per cent to close at 4,668.71 points on Monday, March 2.
Oil (Brent crude) lost 1.77 per cent to reach $61.77 per barrel today (as of 4pm, Abu Dhabi time). Abu Dhabi harbours 90 per cent of the UAE's oil reserves and oil accounts for 29 per cent of the Gulf state's GDP.

S&P Dow Jones Indices-Middle East Index Dashboard
February 27, 2015--February was the second positive month in a row for the S&P Pan Arab Composite LargeMidCap, which returned 4% against a backdrop of energy prices rising from the remarkable lows set at the end of January.
The Middle Eastern region also outperformed the S&P Emerging BMI, but lagged the surging markets of Europe, the U.S. and Japan.
Among countries, the United Arab Emirates led the monthly charts with a 6.9% gain. However, so far this year Saudi Arabia has significantly outperformed all other major bourses in the Middle East; the S&P Saudi Arabia BMI is up 11.1% year-to-date while returns are mostly in the low single digits among the competition.

Investment Minister-Egypt Further Opens Its Market to Investors
February 27, 2015--Egypt is further opening its market to investors, Investment Minister Ashraf Salman said Thursday 26/02/2015, noting that the government is carrying out a number of legislative reforms on investment-related laws.
Salman's remarks came during a meeting with British Minister for the Middle East Tobias Ellwood on the sidelines of London's Telegraph Middle East Congress.
