October 13, 2015--Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services is launching the new analytic 'Risk Alerts' on 23 November. The new product informs market participants in real-time about unusual price and order book behaviour of the most important Eurex futures.
Alerts are automatically triggered, when certain thresholds for changes in traded prices, bid-ask spreads and order book resilience are exceeded

October 12, 2015--European ETP Highlights
As of the end of September 2015, global ETP assets stood at $2.7 trillion with European ETP assets at $480bn (€430bn). European ETPs recorded net inflows of +€1.9bn in September (+€10.2bn in the prev. month).
Equity and fixed income ETFs were the major contributors to inflows receiving +€1.5bn and +€0.7bn respectively. Commodity ETPs listed in Europe saw outflows of -€0.3bn during the same period.
During September, 12 new smart beta ETFs were launched. UBS and BlackRock listed 8 and 3 quantitative strategy equity ETFs respectively while First Trust listed a fundamental strategy equity ETF. ETF Securities has launched Europe's first ETF to track cyber security focused companies.

October 11, 2015--In August 2015 the activity of euro area issuers was at the lowest level since August
2014, as measured by new issuance and redemptions of debt securities.
The annual rate of change of the outstanding amount of debt securities issued by euro area residents was -0.9% in August 2015, compared with -1.2% in July.

October 9, 2015--ETFs/ETPs listed in Europe have gathered a record level of US$61.6 Bn as of the end of Q3 2015 which is virtually tied with the record level of US$61.8 billion in net new assets raised in all of 2014.
Although September was another roller coaster ride for investors they allocated US$2 billion in net new assets to ETFs/ETPs listed in Europe during the month. This marks the 12th consecutive month of positive net inflows, according to ETFGI's preliminary ETF and ETP global insights report for the September 2015.

October 7, 2015--The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published its 2016 Work Programme which sets out its priorities and the activities it will undertake in pursuit of its statutory objectives of enhancing investor protection and promoting stable and orderly financial markets.
ESMA's priorities for 2016, in line with the recently published ESMA Strategic Orientation 2016-2020, signals a shift from rulemaking towards implementation and promoting the convergence of supervisory practices.
Supervisory Convergence-this will be a core focus in ESMA's activities in relation to the implementation, supervision and enforcement of common EU rules. In support of this work ESMA will produce a supervisory convergence work programme and continue its cooperation with NCAs and other institutions, including the Joint Committee to ensure sectoral consistency;
