The milestone reinforces DBMF as the largest managed futures ETF and reflects growing advisor and institutional demand for low-cost, transparent, and liquid access to a strategy long dominated by high-fee hedge funds. Launched in 2019, DBMF now carries a seven-year track record. Over that period the fund has delivered a 9.32% annualized return (NAV) and 742 basis points of annual alpha versus the S&P 500, according to Morningstar data as of August 31, 2026. DBMF crossed the $5 billion threshold roughly three years after passing $1 billion in late 2022, as the pace at which advisors and models are adopting managed futures for client portfolios continues to accelerate.
