SK hynix, the Korean chipmaker behind the High Bandwidth Memory inside nearly every advanced AI accelerator, is set to list its shares in the US under the ticker SKHY, in what is reported to be the largest ADR offering in market history, bigger than Alibaba's 2014 debut. If Nvidia is the engine of the AI boom, SK hynix makes the fuel injectors. Its HBM chips sit beside the AI processors powering data centers at Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Meta.
