May 18, 2014--Global credit ratings agency, Standard and Poor's (S&P) has affirmed Egypt's long term and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings, with 'Stable' outlook, Daily News Egypt has reported.

Ma'aden mulls capital increase to expand gold operations

May 15, 2014--The Saudi Arabian Tadawul All-Share Index closed dipped by 0.13 per cent to 9,807.37 points on Thursday, May 15.

SABIC remained in a stutter mode, ending off 0.80 per cent lower at SAR118.50. Saudi Arabian Mining Company, better known as Ma'aden (Arabic for metals), lost 4.14 per cent, after gaining 5.49 per cent yesterday.

May 14, 2014--The Saudi Arabian Tadawul All-Share Index closed insignificantly higher at 9,819.89 points on Wednesday, May 14. Market breadth was neutral like the entire trading action.

May 14, 2014--Although market bellwether Emaar Properties gained nearly six percent to reach AED10.90, the Dubai Financial Market General Index (DFMGI) fell by 0.16 per cent to close at 5,318.74 points on Wednesday, May 14.

The reason behind the divergence was market breadth, which was negative, as seven shares advanced, while 24 declined in value.

Ooredoo shares advances as telecom giant seals $498 million financing

May 14, 2014--The Qatar Exchange 20 Index declined by 0.11 per cent to hit 13,,160.60 points on Wednesday, May 14.

Ooredoo, formerly Qatar Telecom, gained 0.96 per cent to close at QAR147.40. Earlier in the day, Ooredoo announced the signing of three commodity Murabaha facilities for a total of $498 million.
