Tadawul market gains 8.92 per cent

December 18, 2014--The Saudi Stock Exchange surged on Thursday, December 18, to close at 8,320.55 points as bargain hunters moved in to benefit from the positive sentiment form the U. S.

On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve signalled it will keep interest rates at least till mid-2015 near zero.

DP World shareholders okay London delisting, Jebel Ali port buying

December 18, 2014--The FTSE NASDAQ Dubai UAE 20 Index closed 11.29 per cent higher at 3,557.89 points on Thursday, December 18, as a buying frenzy that started in Abu Dhabi yesterday has expanded to Dubai.

Dubai Ports (DP) World shares gained 1. per cent on Thursday, December 18.

Abu Dhabi market extends rebound

December 18, 2014--After gaining 4.21 per cent on Wednesday, December 17, the ADX General Index extended its rebound and closed 6.70 per cent higher at 4,365.19 points on Thursday, December 18.

The buying frenzy continued after the US FED signalled that it would not raise interest rates at least until mid-2015.

Dubai stocks gain the most in a decade

December 18, 2014--A technical buying reaction following the recent stock market crash lifted the DFM General lndex by a whopping 13 per cent to reach at 3,426.70 points on Thursday, December 18.

Between November 23 and December 17, the gauge lost 34.50 per cent in value due to panic selling in the wake of tumbling oil prices.

Saudi shares regain territory

December 17, 2014--The Tadawul All-Share Index closed 4.21 per cent to reach 7,638.0 points on Wednesday, December 17.

Al-Tayyar Travel Group led the rebound, ending 9.98 per cent higher at SAR93. SABIC surged by 4.80 per cent to reach SAR76.

Bargain hunters lift Abu Dhabi bourse

December 17, 2014--Following a five-day losing streak, the ADX General Index closed 4.21 per cent higher at 4,056.08 points on Wednesday, December 17.

Financials benefitted in particular from the rebound. Finance House gained the most, ending up 14.41 per cent at AED3.89.

Bears keep grip on Dubai market

December 17, 2014--A modest rebound at the opening triggered hopes that the crash at the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) might come to an end, but the DFM General lndex eventually opted for u-turn and closed 1.28 per cent lower at 3,044.18 points.
