HANetf lists World's first electric charging infrastructure ETF
April 22, 2022--HANetf is listing Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Equity UCITS ETF (ticker: ELEC) on the LSE, Deutsche Börse Xetra and Borsa Italiana
The ETF will provide investors a way to access the huge expansion of car charging infrastructure
ELEC is the World's first EV charging infrastructure ETF [1]
ELEC is classified as Article 8 under EU SFDR regulations. In order to achieve net-zero, electric vehicles will have to see widespread adoption – that is only possible if the necessary infrastructure is in place
HANetf, Europe's first full services 'white label' UCITS ETF issuer, is listing the Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Equity UCITS ETF (ticker: ELEC) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), Deutsche Börse Xetra and Borsa Italiana. The ETF will be passported for sale across Europe.

New Equity Index ETF from Global X on Xetra: access to companies from the uranium industry for first time
April 22, 2022--Since Friday, a new exchange-traded fund issued by Global X is tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.
The Global X Uranium UCITS ETF gives investors access to companies from the uranium industry for the first time.
These include companies that are active in uranium mining and in the production of nuclear components as well as those that offer the corresponding equipment for the uranium and nuclear industry.
Currently, the benchmark index comprises around 50 companies, mainly from the energy, industrial and basic materials sectors, which are based in Canada, Australia, and South Korea.

A new crypto ETN issued by ETC Group is tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Friday
The XRPetc- ETC Group Physical XRP offers investors access to the performance of the cryptocurrency XRP, which is used as a digital means of payment in the Ripple network.
Investors can trade the product flexibly using the same ISIN in the currency of their choice, either in euros or US dollars. The trading currency can be selected using an individually assigned stock exchange code. The exchange-traded note is physically backed by XRP. In addition, investors benefit from significantly reduced risks in the processing of transactions due to the central clearing.
ETC Group is thus expanding its range of crypto ETNs to fourteen products in the two trading currencies euro and US dollar, all of which are physically secured with the corresponding cryptocurrency and are cleared centrally via Eurex Clearing.

War in Ukraine is Serious Setback to Europe's Economic Recovery
April 22, 2022--Ukraine and Russia face the sharpest economic contractions, but other countries could also fall into recession this year.
The humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine is reverberating across Europe. Some 5 million refugees have already fled the fighting in the largest exodus the continent has seen since the Second World War and millions more are internally displaced.
The greatest numbers have flowed across borders with Poland, Romania, Hungary and Moldova. The European Union swiftly embraced those displaced by Russia’s invasion, granting them permits to live and work and to receive social assistance for at least a year.
The war is a serious setback to Europe's strong yet incomplete recovery from the pandemic, which left private consumption and investment well below pre-coronavirus forecasts, even as fiscal and monetary support underpinned an impressive rebound in employment almost to levels last seen before the pandemic. Spiking energy and food prices are now cutting deeply into household consumption, and economic uncertainty is poised to restrain investment.

The new products track the performance of the crypto assets Cardano, Ethereum, Polkadot and Solana. Investors gain access to the performance of the respective cryptocurrency without having to set up crypto wallets or switch to unregulated trading venues.
The management fee is 1.49 per cent in each case.
This expands Bitpanda's offering to five crypto ETNs, all of which are physically secured and centrally cleared via Eurex Clearing.

New commodity ETCs from WisdomTree on Xetra: commodity baskets with focus on energy storage solutions and energy transition
April 20, 2022--Two new exchange-traded commodities (ETCs) issued by WisdomTree are tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Wednesday.
With the WisdomTree Battery Metals, investors can participate in the development of the value of a commodity basket of futures contracts that are used for energy storage solutions by means of batteries.
The commodities used include aluminium, gold, copper, nickel, platinum, palladium, silver, and zinc, which are required for electric vehicles, charging stations and energy storage systems, among other things.
The WisdomTree Energy Transition Metals offers investors access to a commodity basket of futures contracts that are used in connection with the energy transition. Energy transition applications include electric vehicle batteries, energy storage and fuel cells, wind power, solar power, and other renewable technologies.

ESAs publish joint Annual Report for 2021
April 19, 2022--The Joint Committee of the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs)- EBA, EIOPA and ESMA-published today its 2021 Annual Report, providing a detailed account of its joint work completed over the past year.
The Joint Committee, under ESMA's chairmanship in 2021, continued to play a central role in the coordination and exchange of information between the ESAs, the European Commission (EC) and the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB). A significant part of its work in 2021 focused on developing the regulatory and supervisory framework for sustainability-related disclosures.

EU financial regulators warn consumers on the risks of crypto-assets
March 17, 2022--The European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, ESMA and EIOPA-the ESAs) today warn consumers that many crypto-assets are highly risky and speculative. The ESAs set out key steps consumers can take to ensure they make informed decisions.
This warning comes in the context of growing consumer activity and interest in crypto-assets and the aggressive promotion of those assets and related products to the public, including through social media.
In their warning, the ESAs highlight that these assets are not suited for most retail consumers as an investment or as a means of payment or exchange, as consumers:
face the very real possibility of losing all their invested money if they buy these assets;
should be alert to the risks of misleading advertisements, including via social media and influencers; and
should be particularly wary of promised fast or high returns, especially those that look too good to be true.
