New stock index ETF issued by Xtrackers on Xetra: access to sustainable US companies with currency hedging
February 22, 2022--A new exchange-traded fund issued by Xtrackers has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday.
The Xtrackers MSCI USA ESG Screened UCITS ETF- EUR Hedged offers investors the opportunity to participate in the performance of large and medium-sized companies based in the USA.
Only companies that are part of the MSCI USA index and meet ESG criteria are considered.
Companies from controversial sectors such as arms production, tobacco and coal industries are excluded. The same applies to companies that violate the principles of the United Nations Global Compact.
Currency risks to the euro are minimised.
IMF Country Focus-UK Economy Rebounding Amid Growing Inflationary Pressures
February 23, 2022--Thanks to a rapid vaccination campaign and highly accommodative policies, the United Kingdom's economic recovery has proceeded faster than expected. The near-term growth outlook remains strong-but so too are inflationary pressures.
Monetary policy will need to tighten steadily to anchor inflation expectations and bring inflation back to target.
Careful communication to counter expectations of a long cycle of rate hikes and high borrowing costs would help reduce the drag on growth in 2023. Fiscal policy could support this tightening cycle if planned consolidation was brought forward slightly.

Fidelity launches physical bitcoin ETP in Europe
February 17, 2022--The fund is listed on Frankfurt's Xetra and is set to start trading on Zurich's Six in the coming weeks
Fidelity International has launched a physical bitcoin exchange traded product in response to a growing demand for digital assets among European investors.
The product launch comes three months after Invesco brought its own bitcoin ETP to the market amid a growing willingness by large asset managers to enter the cryptocurrency arena.
Fidelity's Physical Bitcoin ETP, which will be available to professional and institutional investors in Europe, is domiciled in Germany and listed on Xetra in Frankfurt.
New Commodity ETF issued by Xtrackers on Xetra

A new exchange traded fund issued by Xtrackers has been tradable on Xetra and B&oum;rse Frankfurt since Wednesday.
With the Xtrackers Bloomberg Commodity ex-Agriculture & Livestock Swap UCITS ETF, investors can participate in the performance of a diversified basket of longer-term commodity futures.
The basket consists of commodities from the energy sector as well as precious and industrial metals.
These are the following individual commodities: mineral oil (crude and heating oil), gas oil, natural gas, gold and silver, aluminium, copper, nickel, and zinc. Commodities from the agricultural and livestock sectors are excluded.
The weighting of the individual commodities is based on liquidity criteria and economic factors. Only one individual commodity component may reach the maximum weighting of 30 per cent.

First crypto ETN launched by Fidelity on Xetra Physically backed ETN tracks performance of Bitcoin
February 15, 2022--Since Tuesday, a crypto ETN issued by Fidelity has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt for the first time.
The Fidelity Physical Bitcoin ETP gives investors simple and efficient access to the performance of Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation.
The ETN is physically backed by Bitcoin and listed in the Regulated Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

ETFGI reports that the ETF industry in Europe gathered a new monthly record of 29.06 billion US dollars in net new assets in January 2022
February 10, 2022--ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETFs ecosystem, reported today that ETFs and ETPs listed in Europe gathered a new monthly record of US$29.06 billion during January surpassing the prior record of US$27.17 Bn gathered in December 2020.
Assets invested in the European ETFs industry have decreased by 1.9%, from US$1.60 trillion at the end of December, to US$1.57 trillion, according to ETFGI's January European ETFs and ETPs industry landscape insights report, the monthly report which is part of an annual paid-for research subscription service. ESMA prioritises the fight against greenwashing in its new Sustainable Finance Roadmap
February 11, 2022--The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU's securities markets regulator, has today published its Sustainable Finance Roadmap 2022-2024 (Roadmap). ESMA identifies three priorities for its sustainable finance work:
Tackling greenwashing and promoting transparency;
Building National Competent Authorities' (NCAs) and ESMA's capacities in the sustainable finance field; and
Monitoring, assessing and analysing ESG markets and risks.
ESMA is actively contributing to the development of the sustainable finance rulebook and to its consistent application and supervision by taking the necessary measures to promote investor protection across the EU. ESMA also engages in risk assessment and market monitoring activities focusing on potential financial stability risks stemming from ESG factors.
