ETFGI reports assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed in Europe reached a new record
October 20, 2016--ETFGI, the leading independent research and consultancy firm on trends in the global ETF/ETP ecosystem, today reported assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed in Europe reached a new record high US$567 Bn at the end of Q3 2016.
Net flows gathered by ETFs/ETPs in September were US$2.98 Bn of net new assets gathered during the month marking the 25th consecutive month of net inflows, according to preliminary data from ETFGI's September 2016 global ETF and ETP industry insights report.

Unscheduled free float adjustment in SDAX
Changes to be effective 25 October
October 20, 2016--
On Thursday, Deutsche Börse announced an unscheduled adjustment to the free float of Capital Stage AG in SDAX.
The company's free float changed by more than 10 percentage points, which was caused by a capital increase due to an acquisition of another company as well as a significant change in shareholder structure of Capital Stage AG.

Unscheduled adjustment in TecDAX
October 17, 2016--On Monday, Deutsche Börse announced an unscheduled change to TecDAX.
As a result of the expected acquisition of AIXTRON SE by Grand Chip Investment GmbH, the AIXTRON SE current share class (ISIN DE000A0WMPJ6) in the index will be replaced with the tendered share class of AIXTRON SE (ISIN DE000A2BPYT0). These changes will become effective on 20 October 2016.

Six new BNP Paribas ETCs from industrial metals commodities sector launched on Xetra
October 17, 2016--Six new exchange traded commodities (ETCs) issued by BNP Paribas Arbitrage Issuance B.V. have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Monday.
The six new BNP Paribas ETCs enable investors to participate in the performance of the individual industrial metals aluminium, lead, copper, nickel, zinc and tin. The corresponding reference index from the Rogers International Commodity Enhanced commodity index family tracks the respective futures contracts with varying maturities. The limited term of the futures contracts requires a switch prior to expiry in exchange for a futures contract with the next expiry date (rollover).

Lipper-Monday Morning Memo: Review of the European ETF Market, September 2016
October 16, 2016--Negative market impacts led-in spite of net inflows-to lower assets under management in the European ETF industry (€480.1 bn for September, down from €480.4 bn at the end of August).
The decrease of €0.3 bn for September was mainly driven by negative market impacts (-€2.4 bn), while net sales contributed a positive €2.1 bn to the assets under management in the ETF segment

State Street picks BlackRock exec to lead UK ETF unit
October 16, 2016--State Street Global Advisors has appointed an executive at BlackRock-the world's biggest exchange-traded fund provider-to lead its ETF business in the UK.
Claire Perryman, who led wealth management and retail sales at BlackRock's iShares business for eight years, has joined SSgA in London reporting to Rory Tobin, co-head of its SPDR ETF business.

ETF total traded volume
Trading volume executed on the Tradeweb European-listed ETF marketplace reached €8.82 billion in September, up 10% from the previous month.
Adriano Pace, managing director for equity derivatives at Tradeweb said, "In a month characterised by few market-moving catalysts and a general lack of investment direction, our platform continued to provide an efficient mechanism for transacting ETFs." Pace added, "September also saw the addition of the 14th liquidity provider posting axes to the platform, as the functionality is adopted across an increasingly wide range of ETF instruments."
