European Commission-Winter 2018 Interim Economic Forecast: A solid and lasting expansion
February 7, 2018--Growth rates for the euro area and the EU beat expectations last year as the transition from economic recovery to expansion continues.
The euro area and EU economies are both estimated to have grown by 2.4% in 2017, the fastest pace in a decade.
This robust performance is set to continue in 2018 and 2019 with growth of 2.3% and 2.0% respectively in both the euro area and EU.

Room for more-Addition of six western Balkan countries would take the union to a jumbo 33 members
February 6, 2018--Move over, Brexit-and step forward, Baccession. As battle deepens over the UK's terms of departure from the EU, Brussels is about to highlight instead what it sees as the union's continued potential to grow.
The European Commission will on Tuesday unveil a strategy that holds out the prospect of membership for six western Balkan countries by 2025. That would be the biggest EU enlargement group for more than two decades-and would take the union to a jumbo 33 members, even once the Brits have left. The target-widely seen, with the best Yes Ministerial understatement, as ambitious-inevitably groans under the weight of its caveats.

Amundi expands its product offering on Xetra with nine new ETFs
February 6, 2018--Nine new exchange traded funds issued by Amundi Asset Management S.A. have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday. Amundi's product range offers in-vestors access to stock corporations from various regions and to bond index ETFs that track government and corporate bonds.
Four of the new equity index ETFs track the performance of reference indices from the MSCI index family. Investors can choose between the regions of emerging markets, Europe, North America and world. Each index includes the largest and mid-sized companies, weighted by market capitalisation.
The Amundi Index FTSE EPRA NAREIT Global- UCITS ETF DR (D) gives investors access to companies from the real estate sector and listed real estate investment trusts (REITs).
