Meet 'Paypal for Crypto,' a New Way to Pay With Bitcoin and Litecoin
February 15, 2018--The largest U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase, is releasing a PayPal-like service of its own.
On Wednesday, Coinbase wrote about its new platform that will make it easier for merchants to accept payments with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin through Coinbase Commerce.

TASE And BlueStar Indexes Are ending Their Collaboration Regarding The TA-BIGITech Index
February 15, 2018--BlueStar Indexes and TASE will be ending their collaboration regarding the TA-BIGITech Index.
The BIGITech Index was developed and launched by BlueStar Indexes in 2013, and in 2015, a collaboration agreement was signed between the parties, pursuant to which the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) contributed from its experience to promote the BIGITech Index, belonging to BlueStar Indexes.
In accordance with the agreement, the index was rebranded under the name TA-BIGITech and TASE began to publish the index on its website, alongside TASE's own indexes.

Cboe Conducts February Settlement of Cboe Bitcoin Futures
February 14, 2018--Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe: CBOE | Nasdaq: CBOE), one of the world's largest exchange holding companies, today announced the settlement of the February expiry Cboe bitcoin (XBT) futures, the second contract settlement conducted since its launch in December.
The settlement price was $9,195.00, as determined by the 4:00 p.m. ET Gemini1 Exchange bitcoin auction.

S&P Dow Jones Indices Launches S&P 500 Bond Mega 30 Index Family
February 14, 2018--The New Indices Track 30 Largest Single Issues of S&P 500
S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI), a leading index provider, today announced the launch of the S&P 500 Bond Mega 30 Index family that comprises of S&P 500 Bond Mega 30 Investment Grade Index and the S&P 500 Bond Mega 30 High Yield Index. The new indices seek to track the 30 largest single issues by constituents of the S&P 500.
The S&P 500 Bond Mega 30 Investment Grade Index is composed of 30 bonds, representing the largest investment grade issuances from S&P 500 issuers. The bonds are selected from the S&P 500 Investment Grade Corporate Bond Index.

February 14 2018--Horizons ETFs Management (US) LLC ("Horizons US"), a member of one of the largest collective families of ETFs in the world, in partnership with Cadence Capital Management ("Cadence"), announces the launch of the Horizons Cadence Hedged US Dividend Yield ETF, which begins trading today on the Cboe BZX Exchange under the symbol "USDY."
Co-managed by Cadence and Horizons, USDY is a multi-factor ETF that seeks income and long-term growth of capital, with a strategy that seeks to potentially provide a measure of downside protection through the use of index options.

Last week, we discussed how ETF flows have historically responded to market downturns. That said, we did not anticipate the drawdown to return so violently, nor did we expect Volatility ETPs to be at the center of this sell off.
This week, as requested by some ETF Think Tank members, we provide a more granular review of ETF flows post sell offs, and then a deep dive into what happened with Volatility ETPs.
In the last TETFindex update, we showed the flows of all US ETFs in the 3 months following any 6% monthly drop in the S&P 500. This prompted some ETF Think Tank members to ask which asset classes received those flows.

CSE Unveils Canada's First Platform for Clearing and Settling Securities through Blockchain Technology
February 13, 2018--The Canadian Securities Exchange ("CSE" or "the Exchange") is pleased to announce that it is introducing an innovative securities clearing and settlement platform that harnesses the unique features of blockchain technology.
The platform will enable companies to issue conventional equity and debt through tokenized securities, which would be offered to investors through Security Token Offerings ("STOs"). Unlike blockchain-based cryptocurrencies, the STOs will be subject to full regulation by applicable securities commissions.

SEC questions Credit Suisse about volatility product: WSJ
February 13, 2018--Credit Suisse (CSGN.S) has been questioned by the U.S. markets watchdog about the volatility fund that the Swiss bank is terminating after its value plunged, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission called Credit Suisse last Tuesday, the day after the market rout that prompted the bank to announce liquidation of its VelocityShares (XIV.P) product, the paper said
