AdvisorShares Active ETF Market Share Update-Week Ending 8/17/2018
August 20, 2018--Assets in actively managed ETFs added $517 million last week to reach $61.98 billion in total net assets.
First Trust took the top spot in new AUM growth with $205 million, followed by JP Morgan with a $154 million gain.
There were two fund launches and no fund closures, which brought the total of actively managed ETFs currently trading at 239.

August 17, 2018--The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that it has voted to adopt amendments to certain disclosure requirements that have become duplicative, overlapping, or outdated in light of other Commission disclosure requirements, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), or changes in the information environment.
The amendments are intended to simplify and update the disclosure of information to investors, including long-term Main Street investors, and reduce compliance burdens for companies without significantly altering the total mix of information available to investors.

August 16, 2018--For the first week in four investors were net redeemers of fund assets (including those of conventional funds and ETFs), withdrawing $1.6 billion for Thomson Reuters Lipper's fund-flows week ended August 15, 2018.
However, fund investors continued to pad the coffers of taxable bond funds (+$798 million) and municipal bond funds (+$452 million), while being net redeemers of money market funds (-$2.2 billion) and equity funds (-$639 million).
As the tug of war between China and the U.S. over tariffs continued, news of Turkey's currency crisis put the spotlight on global risks during the fund-flows week and weighed heavily on the global markets.
