Growth is expected to moderate as tighter policies and financial conditions take effect. The financial system remains sound, but further targeted reforms can strengthen financial stability and reduce emerging operational risks. Amidst rising spending and public debt, especially among states, gradual fiscal consolidation would rebuild buffers and support disinflation. Lifting labor productivity is critical to improving living standards and medium-term growth. Further reforms to strengthen competition, reduce regulatory burden on businesses, and adopt a comprehensive tax reform, can help boost business dynamism and broaden growth and export drivers.
