STOXX Changes Composition Of Blue-Chip Indices
August 31, 2016--STOXX Ltd., the operator of Deutsche Böerse Group's index business, and a global provider of innovative and tradable index concepts, today announced the results of the regular annual review of the STOXX Blue-Chip Indices, among them the STOXX Europe 50, EURO STOXX 50 and STOXX Nordic 30 indices; as well as the results of the second semi-annual review of the STOXX Eastern Europe 50 Index.
All changes will be effective with the open of European markets on Sep. 19, 2016.

BIS, FSB and IMF publish elements of effective macroprudential policies
August 31, 2016--The International Monetary Fund (IMF), Financial Stability Board (FSB) and Bank for International Settlements (BIS) released today a new publication on Elements of effective macroprudential policies.
The document, which responds to a G20 request, takes stock of the international experience since the financial crisis in developing and implementing macroprudential policies and will be presented to the G20 Leaders' Summit in Hangzhou.

STOXX Limited launches Euro STOXX 50 Multi-Asset Momentum Risk Cap Indices
August 30, 2016--STOXX Ltd., the operator of Deutsche Böerse Group's index business, and a global provider of innovative and tradable index concepts, today introduced the EURO STOXX 50 Multi-Asset Momentum Risk Cap Indices.
These indices implement a cross-asset strategy concept that is based on the EURO STOXX 50 and the EURO STOXX 50 Corporate Bond Indices, using the momentum factor for dynamic asset allocation to enhance returns, while maintaining the risk at pre-defined maximum volatility levels.

Cyber threat grows for bitcoin exchanges
August 29, 2016--When hackers penetrated a secure authentication system at a bitcoin exchange called Bitfinex earlier this month, they stole about $70 million worth of the virtual currency.
The cyber theft--the second largest by an exchange since hackers took roughly $350 million in bitcoins at Tokyo's MtGox exchange in early 2014--is hardly a rare occurrence in the emerging world of crypto-currencies.
